The Sawala Budaya Promotion of Literary Works activity was held as part of Indonesia’s preparations as Guest of Honor at the 2026 Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF). This activity served as a forum for friendship and discussion between literary publishers from various regions in Indonesia and the Ministry of Culture, in order to promote Indonesian literature internationally.
This activity was initiated by the Ministry of Culture through the Directorate General of Diplomacy, Promotion, and Cultural Cooperation and involved publishers from various regions in Indonesia. During the event, ideas were exchanged and strategic steps were formulated to support Indonesia’s participation in ADIBF 2026.
This activity is expected to foster sustainable collaboration and generate strategic recommendations to strengthen the position of Indonesian literature on the global stage. This report was prepared to document and evaluate the implementation of this activity, as well as to serve as a reference for similar events in the future.
