Alun-Alun Nusantara is an Indonesian cultural festival held in Piazza San Silvestro, Rome, Italy, on August 10–11, 2024. This event is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Rome and Profere LLC. This festival commemorates 75 years of cultural relations between Indonesia and Italy.
More than just an exhibition, this event also featured an Indonesian Fashion Show, a major highlight and a magnet for fashion enthusiasts from around the world.
The theme of this show, “Goes to Rome, Italy: Spirit of Mahakam,” reflected the passion and pride in the cultural heritage now being showcased on the international stage.
Furthermore, this event also opened up significant opportunities for designers and MSMEs. With pop-up sessions that allowed them to meet directly with potential buyers and the international business community, it was hoped that local products could penetrate the global market.
