The Indonesian Cultural Awards are a form of government appreciation, through the Ministry of Culture, for individuals, communities, and/or institutions that demonstrate dedication and ongoing contributions to the Advancement of Indonesian Culture.
This event is based on the state’s commitment to making culture a pillar of national development, as mandated by Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning the Advancement of Culture. This award recognizes the role of cultural practitioners in preserving, developing, and transforming the nation’s cultural values to ensure their relevance.
More than just a ceremony, the Indonesian Cultural Awards are expected to be a source of motivation and inspiration, while also sustainably strengthening the national cultural ecosystem.
