Deco Building, Los Angeles, USA | 5 March 2023 The Allure of Wastra Indonesia 2023 was a prestigious fashion show held at Deco Building, Los Angeles, on March 5, 2023. The event showcased the diversity of Indonesia’s wastra (traditional textiles), introducing the richness of Nusantara textile culture to the international market, particularly the United States. Three Indonesian designers participated: Irma Susanti from Identix Batik (Semarang), Rony Billiardo from Billiardo Indonesia (Yogyakarta), and Ibu Rinda Wahyuni presenting the Mahakam Charm collection. The event was organized by Profere Event with support from ITPC Los Angeles. The designers’ works were exhibited for one month at Deco Building, and a leading Los Angeles marketplace also showed interest in collaboration. —
