Conmebol Convention Centre & Grand Bourbon Hotel | 2–7 December 2024 At this prestigious world-class event, we played a role in strengthening Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy through active participation in the 19th UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Session. Together with the Indonesian delegation supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, we participated in introducing national cultural heritage to the international community. Indonesia proposed three cultures for recognition as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage: Reog Ponorogo, Kebaya, and Kolintang. Additionally, we contributed to showcasing other cultural richness such as Batik, Wayang, regional performing arts, and traditional cuisine, demonstrating the diversity and strength of the nation’s cultural identity. “The 19th session marks a global commitment to preserving and promoting the diversity of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage.” — UNESCO, December 2, 2024 —
